Floor singers all evening - all welcome. Admission $5 (members $3) under 18's free. 8pm start - doors open at 7.30pm
This is a chance for singer songwriters and composers to play 2 pieces of music of which one must have been written by the performer.
Great opportunity for less experienced and younger players with only a couple of items performance ready.
Everyone is welcome to come along, you don't have to be a member and you can be assured of a warm welcome and a wonderful evening's entertainnment with supper provided!

The informal harp concert at Henderson Library was good fun and a great opportunity for younger harp players to perform in a low key public situation. Maybe next time some more people will be available to perform!

Harpers of all levels are invited to participate in the concert - come prepared with your harp and 2 - 3 pieces to play if you would like to take part.

Waiatarua

Waiatarua residents are invited to meet their neighbours at the Waiatarua Hall on August 17th 2008 11.00am - 1.00pm
Get together for a chat and a glass of wine.
Robyn Sutherland will be providing background music.
A donation of a gold coin for each adult will be appreciated to offset expenses

Richard Hanna
Mandorla

Mandorla is an exhibition of paintings, poetry and music by Richard Hanna

A ‘Mandorla’ is a form of sacred geometry where two circles overlap and create a third space, an almond shaped interstice called a ‘Mandorla’. In Celtic lore it is the symbol of imagination and the source of all inspiration.

Richard Hanna regards the symbol as a gateway. In this exhibition of paintings, poetry, and music he explores the symbolic, visual, and musical poetics of the shape.

Richard will be presenting some music from his up coming new CD which has 10 tracks, each one corresponding to a painting in the exhibition.

Some background music will be played by Robyn Sutherland.

The Depot Artspace 28 Clarence St, Devonport, Auckland.

The exhibition runs from Saturday 9th August - Thursday 21st August, every day, 10.00am - 5.00pm

Harp Circle at Devonport
Saturday June 14th 2008

There will be a gathering of harp players in Devonport, Auckland on Saturday 14th June from 1.00pm - 5.00pm. This is a casual session for players only, no spectators. There will be some playing together in a group and a chance to perform a song or instrumental for the group as well as a yummy afternoon tea! The session is low key and we encourage anyone who plays to come along and join in especially if you are new to group playing or playing in front of other people.

The Bride and Groom Show was a great day out for anyone planning a wedding and there were huge numbers through the door. This annual event really is an excellent chance for anyone planning a wedding to meet with suppliers and to get heaps of really good ideas for the big day.

Robyn will be playing and singing at the Bride & Groom Show on May 4th at the Ellerslie Events Centre.
She shares a stand in the foyer as you are entering the building with Heartstrings cello and guitar duo
and they will play hour on, hour off.
